History:
Establishing started in 1997, and it was officially inaugurated on 12 September 1998 to serve the investments, agricultural and industrial projects, at Sharae el Ewaynat region, located in the western desert.
The airport was built on an area of 6 km2
Location:
The airport is located away from el Ain village with about 35km, and about 350 km away from El Dakhla city
Capacity:
· The airport includes a terminal
· Includes also two arrival and departure lounges, with the capacity of 100 passengers per hour, it was equipped with central air conditioning system
· The airport contains a tarmac with the capacity of 8 medium aircrafts or 5 large aircrafts
