History:

It was established by the reconstruction of deserts authority in 1959 at the area chosen by the state where there was a great interest in land reclaiming and being prepared to be agricultural land.

The length of the runway is 2500 meters and the width is 30 meters.

Location:

The airport is located at about 2 miles (about 7 km) away from El Kharga city

Capacity:

·         The airport includes a small terminal

·         And an apron for 6 medium or small aircrafts

·         The terminal's capacity is about 100 passenger per hour

·         The runway was developed that its length increased up to 3500 meters, its width up to 45 meters.
